Crafter’s Companion - flower birthday card using Gemini Mini

Good morning, I hope you had a lovely Easter filled with all your favourite things.

Today I am sharing a 6 x 4 inch birthday card I made using mostly Crafter’s Companion products. I am in no way affiliated with Crafter’s Companion but I love their products so where I can I will provide links to what I have used so that you can more easily find them should you wish to.

For this card I used one of the flowers from the Butterfly Meadow die set. Sadly, I don’t think this is still available to buy but you may already have it or be able to find something similar.

To start with I cut out the flower die twice, once in green card stock and once in pink card stock (actually I cut four, two each in case of mishap, but luckily I didn’t need them!).

Next I lightly covered the stem of the green one with Spectrum Noir Harmony Opaque Pigment ink Spring Meadow and then went over that with Spectrum Noir Tri Blend brush pen in light green (LG1, LG3, LG5), taking care to add a little shadow for dimension.

I used the same technique to colour the pink die cut. This time I used Opaque Pigment Pink Tulip ink pad and Pale Pink blend Tri Blend brush (PP1, PP4, PP6).

Once the die cuts were dry, I fussy cut the flowers off the pink one and stuck them onto the green one using Collall All Purpose glue. I then added a gem in the centre of each flower from Chloe’s Creative Cards Spring Collection Bling Box.

Next I cut a piece of pink card stock to 3.5 x 5.5 inches and a piece of Dancing Dragonfly luxury foiled card to 3.25 x 5.25 inches for the mat and layer. I inked the edges of the foiled card with the Pink Tulip Opaque Pigment Ink pad.

I used a sentiment from Say It With Style, threaded it with cream ribbon that has little pink hearts on before assembling the finished card.

Thank you so much for reading xxx
